A boilerplate is a software project's starting point: the parts every product repeats the same way — user access, payments, a customer area — already written, tested, ready to use. It exists so you don't start from zero every time a new idea comes up.
The problem is that almost every boilerplate out there is a rigid template: you take the whole package as it is, including the parts you'll never use, and cut them out by hand afterwards, hoping not to break anything in the process.
Sellstrap starts from the opposite problem: you choose the modules you need before the code even exists. The project you get contains only what you picked — customized from the very start, not a generic template to take apart later.
